Some linens are washable, while others need to be dry cleaned only, so check the label carefully. Washable linens, such as handkerchiefs and linen clothing, are easy to wash and soften with use. White linens should be dried in the sun if possible to maintain their whiteness. In general, dry cleaning is recommended for linen curtains, linen furniture covers and decorative linens. Linens need frequent ironing, unless they have been treated against wrinkles. The above only applies if the fabric contains 100% of the listed material.
